Nevado Veronica – 4 to 12 Days Travel

Trek & Climb

Information

Veronica, also called Huacrahuilki (“horn pass”), Huacay Huilcay, Wayna Willka, Waqaywillka, Urubamba (“spider’s plain”), or Padre Eterno, is a 5,893 m (19,334 ft) mountain in the Urubamba mountain range in the Andes of Peru. It is located in the Cusco Region, La Convención Province, Huayopata District, and in the Urubamba Province, Ollantaytambo District northwest of the town of Ollantaytambo.

Considered within the 3 giants of Cusco; the snowy Veronica is one of the most important mountains of the Cusco region. After all, though its summit does not reach 6,000m; this expedition is a committed ascent. Its closeness to the jungle does not ensure good weather; but it does guarantee an immense landscape.
